Do it right the first time

Crosstalk Solutions has designed and installed hundreds of phone systems for businesses of all types. Our goal is to move you to the new system with as little disruption to your team as possible. We design the system with you, ship everything straight to your office, and then set up and test it all remotely so it works on day one. We stick around after it goes live, too.

If you've watched our phone system videos on YouTube, this is the team behind them.

  • Best practice design session

We go over how your calls should flow, what features you'll actually use, and how your team works, before anything gets configured.

  • Phone number porting

Porting numbers can be scary! We handle the paperwork and watch the port through so you don't lose calls.

  • Kari's Law and RAY BAUM'S Act E911

We set up compliant emergency calling with the right dispatchable location for your site.

  • Support after go-live

We stay with you while your team settles in: 7 days of unlimited support with Cloud PBX, 30 days of support with Crosstalk PBX.

Phones for every desk, room and warehouse

We lead with our own Crosstalk phones and stock Yealink, Poly, Snom and Grandstream too. Our phone guides walk through what each type of user needs.

What our phone system customers say

“I have to say the process has been a pleasant one. Crosstalk has been helpful, informative and incredibly responsive. The system itself is a quantum leap improvement over our Unify Openscape Office.”
John Dabbs, KL Realty
“If you've seen his YouTube videos on FreePBX, do yourself a favor and order your phones through him. His pricing is actually better than Amazon, and the shipment came fast, with email notifications with tracking info.”
Lee Weaver, Weaver's Carpet & Tile
“Nothing brings me more joy than getting sales calls from VOIP resellers telling me that they can lower my company's phone bill by 80%! Same answer every time: 'ok, do it' (I know they can't). They ask me all these questions, then they see what I pay. They can't beat it. They are dumbfounded by the price!”
David Scherer, Scherer Construction

Business phone system FAQs

What is a PBX phone system?

A PBX (private branch exchange) is the phone system that runs your business phones. It gives everyone an extension, routes incoming calls through your auto attendant and ring groups, handles voicemail, transfers and conference calls, and connects your phones to the outside world.

Older PBXs were boxes on the wall wired to copper phone lines. Today almost every PBX runs over the internet (VoIP), either on a server in your office or in the cloud.

What's the difference between a PBX and VoIP?

VoIP is the technology, a PBX is the system. VoIP (voice over IP) means phone calls travel over the internet instead of copper lines. A PBX is what decides where those calls go. Every system we sell is a VoIP PBX: your phones plug into your network, and calls reach the outside world through a SIP trunk (internet phone service) instead of phone company lines.

What's the difference between hosted and on-premises PBX?

It's the same Crosstalk PBX system either way. The only difference is where the server lives. With hosted, we run the server in a data center, so there's no hardware in your office and we take care of backups. With on-premises, the server sits in your office, which gives you the most control and lets you connect copper lines, PRIs and other legacy equipment.

See Crosstalk PBX for pricing on both.

What's the difference between Cloud PBX and hosted PBX?

Our hosted PBX is a fully featured Crosstalk PBX system running on a server we host for you. Crosstalk Cloud PBX is a phone service. You get a web interface to make changes, and your users get the Call Panel.

Cloud PBX is the more direct competitor to RingCentral and 8x8. It has fewer options than Crosstalk PBX, but the included features are more than enough for most businesses with 2 to 20 users, and it costs less.

How much does a business phone system cost?

It depends mostly on how many phones you need and which system you choose. Our pricing is published, so you can work it out yourself: the Cloud PBX calculator covers small offices, and the Crosstalk PBX calculator covers hosted and on-premises Crosstalk PBX systems. Crosstalk PBX setup starts at $2,400 for up to 10 phones. For example, a 10-phone office on an on-premises Crosstalk PBX (one Crosstalk 270 and nine 230s) comes to $4,703.40 up front, then $129 a month for the Basic maintenance plan. We encourage you to get a quote from RingCentral or 8x8 and compare!

Can I keep my phone numbers?

Yes. In almost every case, you can move your existing numbers to your new phone system, and porting assistance is included with every system we install.

Do I own the phones?

Yes! You buy your phones up front and they're yours. You're not leasing them forever like with other services. Crosstalk phones come with a 2-year warranty.

What happens to my phones if we ever change phone systems?

They go with you. The phones you buy are standard SIP phones, so they can be moved to a different phone system in the future.

Where do you install phone systems?

We install phone systems for businesses across the U.S. and Canada. Almost everything is done remotely: we ship everything straight to your office, then set up and test the system remotely and support you through go-live.

Not sure which one fits?

When it comes to phone systems, one size definitely does not fit all! Tell us about your business and we'll recommend the right system, free.
