Cordless, DECT & Wi-Fi Phones for Business

Not everyone works at a desk. Warehouse staff, shop floors, nurses, and the underappreciated IT staff who walk the building all day need a phone that moves with them. You have two ways to do that: DECT or Wi-Fi.

DECT is what we recommend for most businesses. A DECT system runs on its own radio band, separate from your Wi-Fi, so call quality doesn't depend on how busy your wireless network is. Wi-Fi phones skip the base station and connect straight to your access points, which works well when your Wi-Fi coverage is already solid.

Questions we get

Should I get DECT or Wi-Fi phones?

DECT, for most businesses. A DECT system runs on its own radio band, separate from your Wi-Fi, so call quality doesn't depend on how busy your wireless network is. Wi-Fi phones skip the base station and connect straight to your access points, which works well when your Wi-Fi coverage is already solid.

How many handsets can one DECT base handle?

The Snom M100 KLE and the Yealink W76P each take up to 10 handsets. For bigger buildings, a multicell system like the Snom M900 adds more bases, and handsets roam between them without dropping the call.
