  • HostingWe run the server: from $49/month, added to a maintenance plan

What we help with

FreePBX is powerful, and there's a lot of it. Here's where we can help.

Troubleshooting

Phones that won't register, one-way audio, dropped calls, a SIP trunk that stopped working, call flows that go to the wrong place. We find the cause and fix it.

Upgrades

Moving FreePBX 15 or 16 to FreePBX 17, so it keeps getting security updates. We plan the upgrade, back up first, and test your calls afterward.

Security hardening

A phone system on the internet is a target for toll fraud. We lock down the firewall, remote access, passwords and SIP settings so your PBX isn't making expensive calls for someone else. The admin page can come off the internet entirely.

SIP trunks and phone numbers

Setting up or moving SIP trunks, porting your numbers, and fixing inbound and outbound call routing.

Phones and provisioning

Adding phones, setting up automatic provisioning, button layouts, paging and intercom, and cordless and conference phones.

Changes and new features

Ring groups, queues, IVRs, time conditions and holiday schedules, voicemail to email, call recording. The changes you know you want but don't have time to figure out.

Pick the support that fits

Hourly support

$225/hour, or prepaid from $390 for 2 hours

For a one-time fix, an upgrade or a batch of changes. Billed in 6-minute increments, and prepaid hours can be used for phone-system or networking work.

Maintenance plan

From $129/month

Ongoing care for any FreePBX or PBXact system, in your office or hosted: updates and offsite backups, with your PBX's alerts coming straight into our ticketing system. Higher plans add monthly changes and troubleshooting time.

Hosting

From $49/month, added to a maintenance plan

An optional add-on if you'd rather not keep a PBX in the office. We run your phone system on our servers, so there's no hardware to look after.

About hosting

FreePBX hosting

Hosted FreePBX means your phone system runs on our servers instead of a box in your office. We keep the server updated and backed up, and your PBX's alerts come straight into our ticketing system.

Hosting is $49/month for up to 50 phones or $99/month for up to 100, added to a maintenance plan (from $129/month). Over 100 phones, we'll quote a custom server.

Already hosted somewhere else? You don't have to move to get our support. If you'd like to move your FreePBX to our hosting, we can usually include the migration at no charge when you sign up for any maintenance plan.

FreePBX support FAQs

Do you support FreePBX systems you didn't install?

Yes. We support FreePBX systems no matter who set them up. We start by looking over the system, so we understand how it was built before we change anything.

How much does FreePBX support cost?

FreePBX support is billed hourly in 6-minute increments, at $225/hour pay as you go, or less with a prepaid block of hours (from $390 for 2 hours). See support hours and rates. For ongoing coverage, our maintenance plans start at $129/month.

Can you upgrade our FreePBX to the latest version?

Yes. Older FreePBX versions stop getting security updates, so moving FreePBX 15 or 16 to FreePBX 17 is one of the most common things we do. We back up your system first, plan around your business hours, and test your calls when it's done. Every system is different, so we quote each upgrade after we've looked at yours.

Can you maintain a FreePBX or PBXact system we already have?

Yes. Our maintenance plans cover any FreePBX or PBXact system, whether it runs in your office or is hosted somewhere else. You don't need new hardware, and you don't need to move your system to us.

Can you host our FreePBX?

Yes. Hosting is an optional add-on to a maintenance plan, starting at $49/month, for customers who'd rather not keep a PBX in the office. See hosted Crosstalk PBX.

Do you work with MSPs?

Yes. Managed service providers can bring us in as a subcontractor for FreePBX design, installation, maintenance and training for their own customers.

Is FreePBX free?

The FreePBX software is free and open source, built on Asterisk. Some features come from paid commercial modules, and you still need a server to run it on, phones, and a SIP trunk provider for outside calls. The real cost of a FreePBX system is setting it up well and keeping it secure and updated.

Do you work remotely?

Yes. FreePBX support is done remotely, for businesses across the US and Canada. We'll need remote access to your PBX, and we'll walk you through setting that up securely.

Can you take our FreePBX admin page off the internet?

Yes. An admin page open to the internet is one of the most common ways phone systems get attacked. We can move it behind Tailscale, so only your approved people and devices can reach it, while your phones and SIP trunks keep working normally. See Secure Remote Access.

What should we do if our FreePBX was hacked?

Isolate the system first by blocking outside access to it at your firewall. Change every admin and extension password, and look for extensions, trunks or outbound routes you didn't create. Then call us at 541-787-8870, and we'll take it from there.

We're starting fresh. Should we build our own FreePBX?

You can, and if you enjoy that sort of thing, the Crosstalk Solutions YouTube channel has plenty of FreePBX videos to help. If you'd rather have it done for you, Crosstalk PBX is a complete phone system: server, phones, setup and a maintenance plan, with published pricing.
